Metroid Prime 2: Echoes: How To Defeat Power Bomb Guardian

Welcome to another entry in our Metroid Prime 2 Echoes Boss Fight guides.

This time, we’re taking on the Power Bomb Guardian in the Torvus Bog. After taking a long detour from the Sanctuary Fortress, you may want to express your rage upon it.

How to defeat the Power Bomb Guardian

Much like the Spider Guardian, this “fight” will involve traversing a ball puzzle. This time, you’ll be following a series of spider tracks up to bomb slots to activate them. The Power Bomb Guardian will be spitting Power Bombs at you throughout the fight, so take care moving along the track.

As it fires a Power Bomb, roll away from where you want to go to make it fire a bomb in that direction, then rush to the bomb slot. Activating each one will slightly damage it, but don’t let this discourage you; hop down and keep on track. Get it? On track? Hilarious jokes aside, just keep aiming for those bomb slots at the end of each spider track.

Reward for defeating the Power Bomb Guardian

Activating all four bomb slots will cause the structure above the boss to crush it and finally kill the Power Bomb Guardian. Defeating the Power Bomb Guardian will reward you with, you guessed it, the Power Bomb Suit Upgrade. Using the missile firing button while in morph ball form will place very powerful ball bombs.
