Amorbis 1

In this boss entry of our Metroid Prime 2: Echoes full walkthrough, we’ll be telling you how to take down Amorbis boss fight in Agon Wastes.

Now, Amorbis may seem like a giant intimidating worm, but really, it's just a very tanky worm.

How to Beat Amorbis - Boss Fight

When Amorbis jumps through the air, fire a few well-aimed missiles at it to pierce its thick armour shell. Breaking off the armour will sometimes drop ammo and much-appreciated health. Whenever an armour shell is completely broken off, all three worms will hook onto the Dark Sphere in the middle of the arena and slowly regenerate their shields, after which it will fire a spinning dark energy beam that travels in a pulsing ring around the area.

When you get an opening, unleash everything you have to break his armour; aiming for its head is the best way to stagger it. When Amorbis falls to the ground, morph into a ball and roll into its mouth. From there, just spam as many ball bombs as you can to cause massive damage until Amorbis spits you out.

Remember this fight takes place in the Dark Aether, so leaving the Light bubbles will damage you; this includes when going into Amorbis’ mouth. Manage your space, learn where the bubbles are at all times, and if that worm blocks the bubbles with dark energy, use a Light Beam blast to free it. Rinse and repeat until Amorbis finally leaves your garden.

Reward for beating Amorbis

Upon defeating this wriggly menace, you’ll be rewarded with the Dark Suit Suit Upgrade, safe and fashionable.
